WHAT DOES IT TAKE?!!

What does it take to have a healthy, happy, lasting relationship? I'm mean seriously already!! How fucking hard should this be?!!

I remember asking myself those questions over and over and over for years as I went through the roller-coaster ride of the promise of new love (lust actually), only to be disappointed… usually in very short order by the subtle and not so subtle manipulative, controlling, demeaning, dishonest, and anything but Loving assinine nonsense I'd soon find myself grappling with. WTF?!!

It was ALL so Fabulous… seemingly perfect… and then the mind games would begin and there I'd be in a full-on battle for my sanity, my self-esteem, my heart… and the illusion of what I ‘thought' I had… ‘illusion' being the key word there, Ladies!!

And every freaking time it hurt… like HELL!!

Eventually, I started asking myself, what is going on in me that this is what I keep falling for? And slowly but surely the answers came. #thankGod

Here's the thing…

Healthy Love is like anything else… there are essential ingredients that must go into it in order to create it. And BOTH people have to be in possession of those ingredients!! There's no other way!!

Look at it this way…

If you want to create a kick-ass gourmet meal you're going to need some ingredients, right? Maybe even some rare, not so easy to find, high-quality goods in order to prepare your gourmet meal…

In order to make it Fabulous, and delicious, thoroughly enjoyable, satisfying and downright effing awesome!! Following me?

If what you've got to work with is some salt and pepper, a dash of sugar, a pound of mud, bags of pebbles, a bottle of toxic poison, a can of whipped cream and some chocolate sprinkles…

Just how good do you think your meal is going to be? Let's be real here… not very!!

Well, that was me! There I was banging my head against the wall trying to create this awesome, gourmet meal with ALL the wrong ingredients!

Inevitably, I'd cover what I had with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles… you know… trying my damnedest to make it ALL LOOK GOOD but it tasted like SHIT!! Every single fucking time!! True story!!

Well, my Friends… Relationships are no different!

In spite of ALL of your BEST efforts and intentions IF you are working with the wrong ingredients AND if the person you're trying to create this awesome thing with is showing up with ALL the wrong ingredients in the way of mud, pebbles, and bottles of toxic poison…

Girl… you ain't NEVER gonna get the LOVE you want and SO DESERVE!! #truth

You can ONLY control you!! What you bring to the table!! The more you work on YOUR ingredients the faster you'll attract healthy Love!! Until you do, you won't!! #sorrynotsorry
