WHAT IS NARCISSISTIC BAITING?
People ask me all the time, “what exactly is narcissistic baiting?”
Narcissistic baiting is when a narcissist intentionally does and says things to either suck you into a confrontation - or - further escalate an ongoing conflict for their own advantage.
It’s a form of gaslighting, targeting, and narcissistic manipulation all wrapped up in one mean-spirited, toxic little package.
In this video, I share classic narcissistic baiting examples, including what to expect when experiencing narcissist baiting after discard.
When a narcissist is baiting and bashing you, the important thing to know is they’re doing so deliberately, by doing and saying whatever they know is most likely to trigger a negative response from you.
They’ll say nasty things to escalate an argument as well as fluster, insult, or upset you enough to get a reaction out of you.
