IF you're finding your thoughts are scattered and your brain confused and your stomach in knots and you're having a more and more difficult time coping with your day to day life...
It may NOT actually be that there's something wrong with you.
It may just be that you're in close proximity to a stress-provoking and stress-inducing, high chaos, high conflict, and high drama individual.
It may just be that you're absorbing their stress, their anxiety, their chaos and unmanageability... and misinterpreting it as your own.
This is a lesson I had to revisit myself just recently.
Knowing FULL WELL what I was dealing with in advance...
I invited someone into my world in the spirit of how I could help...
And... in theory, it worked!
On paper... it ALL looked good!!
The "lip service" from the other side... EXACTLY what I needed to hear!!
In practice and reality, however... STRESSFUL!!
A full-on, non-stop, ongoing, never-ending roller coaster ride of one stressful conversation/situation/experience/day/week/month after another.
Why?!!
"I" invited a stress-filled and stressful person into my life under the 'delusion' that my influence would be the grand difference-maker.
Guess what?
I was wrong. SO wrong. And it's on me.
Because the Truth is I knew...
I had ALL the information way in advance...
And STILL I chose to invite STRESS and CHAOS into my world.
Now here's what's True...
The moment I cut the ties Peace returned... like magic!!
And it remains my dominant state. Just like that!!
