PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN AGE

You know their thinking is messed up and their perceptions are entirely distorted and their self-esteem is in the toilet when they're repeating mean spirited and nonsensical gossip they've heard about a child... A CHILD no less...

Without considering the source... not to mention pausing long enough to question what kind of emotional and spiritual illness would motivate ANY individual to target, demean, diminish, and/or gossip about an innocent child?!!

AND... they get away with it!! What?!!

Here's what I know for sure...

"I" can't put a dent in that. It is what it is and it's not my stuff.

But I sure as hell can see it for what it actually IS and use my platform to shine a light on the fact that bullies abound... even from a distance... and guess what folks? We don't have to play.

I sure as hell can remove myself from any situation where the so-called adults are SO completely and utterly toxic that scapegoating a child who only wants (and needs) love and acceptance is deemed acceptable. #areyoukiddingme

Folks, we live on a planet filled with hurt people projecting their fear, pain and deep deep insecurity onto the vulnerable and defenseless while others stand idly by deep in denial, basking in the relief that they and theirs are not the chosen target... today anyway. Phew! That's gotta be a relief!

Seriously though.... don't they know they're next?!!

We also live on a planet filled with "repeaters"...

"Heard it. Sounds good. Doesn't matter whether or not it's actually true 'cause it makes my fragile little ego feel better so I guess I'll repeat it since I seriously can't come up with something better or of more value to say."

Wowza!!

The Truth is we may not always be able to stem the spread of the ever so pervasive fear and pain that abounds, but we sure as hell can decide whether or not we participate in it... silently or otherwise.

We sure as hell can decide whether or not regurgitating the asinine bullshit we've picked up from the fearful... the insecure... the emotionally and spiritually ill... is kind or necessary!

Few things give me the angry feelings more than this particular brand of mean.

So I pray... and meditate... and soak in salt... and turn it over... and send light and love... and carry on with my own life... my own business... my own mission...

And make yet another decision to set yet another boundary and walk away from the toxic, painful and dysfunctional one more time because at the end of the day... that's where my power lies.

Seeing the darkness for what it is and choosing to be the carrier of light... to stand for the alternative... in peace and in love... whatever it takes.
