In this video, I outline 12 things a narcissist would say to deflect responsibility and gain the upper hand in their relationship with you.

We all know that the things narcissists say can be confusing, shocking, and hurtful.

But it’s also important to know that the things a narcissist would say can vary greatly from one circumstance to the next. In other words, narcissists play to their audience and what they say to you can be quite different than the things narcissists say in their relationships with others. Remember, narcissists are typically running an agenda and it rarely includes your comfort or well-being.

Also, things narcissists say when gaslighting you can be so highly manipulative and utterly deceptive that you walk away not knowing who’s who or what’s what. Make no mistake, this is quite deliberate on their part.

Further, the things narcissists say to keep you around are intended to tell you what you want to hear in the moment, no matter the truth or reality you’ll be faced with, in short order.

Lastly, because things narcissists do will erode your self-esteem over time, you especially want to be prepared for and immune to the very special things narcissists say to get you back.
